As a sophomore (2012-13):  One of four returning starters from last year’s championship team ... Scored 16 points and went 7-for-12 from the field against Eastern Washington ... Backed that effort up with 15 points and seven rebounds in win over Drexel ... Went 8 for 9 from the field and scored 17 points in win over Cal Poly ... Set a career-high with 21 points against Jackson State. Also continued his high field goal percentage, going 8 for 11 from the field ... Scored 12 points at Gonzaga, also grabbing seven rebounds in 23 minutes ... Scored 15 points in just 20 minutes against San Diego ... Tied career high with three blocks and tied season high with eight rebounds in win at Santa Clara ... Went 8 for 9 from the floor to score 18 points in win over San Diego ... Got first double-double of the season and fourth of his career with 12 points and 12 rebounds against Creighton ... High School: A 2010 graduate of Ponderosa High School ... averaged a double-double as a senior, scoring 25.6 points and grabbing 10.7 rebounds ... ranked third and fifth, respectively, in the Sacramento area ... was a first-team All-Sierra Valley League selection and a Third Team All-Metro selection by the Sacramento Bee ... as a senior, he shot 72.2 percent (250-346) from the floor, and averaged 2.0 blocks per game ... named the MaxPreps Player of the Week on Feb. 6, 2010, when he averaged 32.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks per game against Cordova and Vista del Lago High Schools ... against Cordova HS, he scored 39 points, has 16 rebounds, and converted 15-of-23 shots from the floor ... against VDLHS, he had 28 points, nine rebounds, six blocks, and shot 77 percent from the floor, converting 10-of-13 shots ... according to Scout, Inc, was rated fifth at the center position in the state of California ... helped lead team to Sierra Valley Conference titles as a sophomore and junior ... set school field goal percentage record as a junior, which he surpassed as a senior ... all-conference as a junior ... ninth on the school's career scoring list with 937 points and sixth in rebounding with 468 ... the first player from Ponderosa to sign a Division I basketball scholarship out of high school.
