MORAGA, Calif. - Caroline Kreuz, who recently completed four years on the Saint Mary's women's soccer team, is currently at an invite tryout for the Portland Thorns of the professional league.
"Kreuz has been a constant competitor in her college career and deserves the try out she earned," said head coach Kai Edwards. "Whatever comes of her try out it is a great opportunity to possibly represent her hometown in pro soccer. It also shows the level of play our players are playing at that the pro league is looking at Kreuz and a couple of others."
Kreuz is at the Portland Thorns invite tryout held this weekend. The head coach is North Carolina legend Cindy Parlow. Notable players on the team include Alex Morgan and Christine Sinclair.
Kreuz recently completed her senior year this fall and will graduate in May.
