Lights, cameras and almost action! After a night of relaxation, the Saint Mary’s Gaels embarked on a busy day filled with media obligations and a shortened open-to-the-public practice on the floor of Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Stepping on to the court, one can feel and envision the buzz, excitement, and atmosphere that will be reality in tomorrow’s Round of 64 game between the Gaels and Rams.

Saint Mary’s arrived to the home of the Utah Jazz with interviews lined up for national and local reporters. Joe Rahon, Calvin Hermanson and Jock Landale took the podium, composed and cool as ever, expressing the team’s hunger for further success.

Head coach Randy Bennett took the podium next, addressing questions on keys for the game, the rise of Landale and the dynamic duo of his backcourt- Rahon and Emmett Naar.

After moving from point A to B in a hurry, the clock hit 4:25 p.m. and it was go-time for the Gaels. The men’s basketball team hit the floor running with their shooting drills, three-man weaves up and down the floor, and usual up-beat tempo in front of supporters and the Saint Mary’s Spirit Team.

The fast-paced 40-minute practice session sums up how fast the day is moving, and how close we are to getting our taste of March Madness. We are less than 24 hours away till tipoff, and let us tell you, you won’t want to miss it.

Followers can watch the action on TBS as tipoff is scheduled for 5:20 p.m. MT (7:20 p.m. ET/ 4:20 p.m. PT).  Live stream will be made available through the NCAA’s March Madness Live stream. Listeners on the radio can catch the action on Sirius 145 and SiriusXM radio 206.
