MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team began its fall season over the weekend with a strong showing at the Cal Nike Invitational on the Berkeley campus.
Jenny Jullien headlined the results for SMC, reaching the semifinals in Flight A. Jullien would lose in three sets against No. 22 Anett Schutting of Cal.
The doubles tandem of Jullien and Audrey Leitz advanced to the doubles final in Flight A, losing to the nationally third-ranked doubles duo from Cal.
Jade Frampton advanced to the quarterfinals in Flight A, falling to No. 22 Schutting. Hannah Liljekvist advanced to the Consolation Final in Flight B, before losing to Layla Sanders from UC Davis.
Jullien is travelling to Los Angeles to playin the ITA Women's All-American Championships at Riviera Tennis Club. She takes on No. 39 Khunpak Issara from Pepperdine at 10:45 a.m.
