The Saint Mary's volleyball team plays its final home match on Saturday when it takes on Santa Clara at 1:00 p.m. in McKeon Pavilion. Not only will fans be able to see seniors Lauren Corp, Gabby Jolly, Anna Schroeder and Missy White play their final collegiate match in Moraga, Saint Mary's is also making its final push for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid.
"This senior class is the most successful class we have had from freshman through senior year," said head coach Rob Browning. "This class has helped set the standard for Saint Mary's volleyball and worked hard to maintain it... they have passed the legacy onto the younger players."
Entering the week, the Gaels had an RPI of 32 and just picked up a road win at San Francisco (RPI 54) on Thursday night. Santa Clara is also battling for an NCAA Tournament spot with 20 wins and an RPI of 41.
With a victory and help, Saint Mary's could finish in a tie for second-place in the West Coast Conference.
Saturday's match-up is a Gael Force Full Force event. All Gael Force members are encouraged to attend the game in their Gael Force tshirts. If a certain amount of members attend the game, all will receive a prize as they exit at the end of the game (must be wearing Gael Force shirt).
