MORAGA, Calif. -- The Saint Mary's men's basketball team will host Cal Poly at 7 p.m. on Saturday with designs on regaining momentum.

To do so, the Gaels will turn to their most dependable support system -- a rowdy McKeon Pavilion crowd.

Tickets are available by visiting the tickets link on or by calling the SMC Athletic Ticket Office at (925) 631-GoTx. Fans can also watch at home, with a live video stream of the game and play by play from Alex Jensen available on

Saint Mary's (4-2) defeated Drexel 76-64 at the DIRECTV Classic before losses to Pacific and Georgia Tech brought the Gaels home with a bad taste in their mouths.

There were highlights for Saint Mary's at the tournament, chief among them a 32-point performance by Matthew Dellavedova in the win over Drexel. The point total was a career high for the guard from Australia, as he went 10 for 16 from the floor in helping Saint Mary's get the win.

Beau Levesque also provided a bright spot, scoring a career-high 18 points against Pacific. The junior from Lafayette, Calif. backed up his strong play with a nine-point, five-rebound effort off the bench against Georgia Tech.

The Gaels won't have just any pushover in their return home. Cal Poly (2-2) enters fresh off one of its biggest wins in program history, having knocked off UCLA, ranked No. 11 at the time, 70-68 on Sunday in Los Angeles.

In the win, senior Dylan Royer hit six 3-pointers en route to an 18-point performance that earned him Big West Player of the Week honors.

The Mustangs also own a home win over Northern Colorado and have losses to TCU and Fresno State.

Saturday's game against Cal Poly also represents another opportunity for Gaels fans to participate in the Monument Crisis Center Canned Food Drive. For every canned food item donated, fans can enter a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Pepsi Cooler Prize Pack.

The game is also a Gael Force Full Force event, which means if more than 500 students attend the game, t-shirts will be tossed into the crowd during the game.
