MORAGA, Calif. -- Fans attending Saint Mary's basketball games recently may have noticed a new addition to McKeon Pavilion - construction of the new Hall of Fame Lounge located on the upper level of the northwest end of the building.
The Lounge will serve as the location for pregame, halftime and postgame gatherings for season ticket holders who have donated at least $10,000 annually or have donated more than $200,000 in their lifetime to the College.
It is scheduled to open tomorrow when the Gaels host Loyola Marymount in their West Coast Conference opener. The game is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. tipoff and will be televised throughout Northern California by Comcast SportsNet as part of the WC's new Game of the Week package.
The Hall of Fame Lounge will also serve as a conference room and team meeting space for the athletic department throughout the year.
"We are thankful for the cooperation and hard work by everyone involved to make the Hall of Fame Lounge a reality," said Mark Orr, the Gaels' director of athletics and recreation. "We are looking forward to hosting our most generous donors and corporate partners and conducting various other events throughout the year in this first-class facility."
The College's development office is responsible for managing all aspects of gameday events in the Hall of Fame Lounge. Sponsors of this year's events include Moylan's Brewery and Restaurant, Pepsi, Rodney Strong Winery, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Sodexo.
