MORAGA, Calif. -- Fresh off a cross country season that set a new standard for what the program is capable of, the Saint Mary's track team released its 2013 schedule on Friday.
After running a partial schedule last season, both head coach Marty Kinsey and associate head coach Mark Carberry are excited to see the success of the fall season continue into the spring campaign.
"As our first full track and field schedule, we feel like we're setting our athletes up for success," Carberry said. "The caliber of these meets is at the high end for Division I competition. That's exactly the experience our athletes deserve."
The season kicks off on Feb. 23 and 24 when the Gaels host West Coast Conference rivals Santa Clara, San Francisco and Loyola Marymount in a meet at Miramonte High.
Saint Mary's will also have a presence in some of the biggest meets on the West Coast, competing in the Stanford Invitational, Mt. Sac Relays and Brutus Hamilton Invitational.
The regular season concludes on May 11 with the West Coast Invitational in Salem, Ore., and the Gaels will hope to take part in the NCAA West Regionals at the University of Texas on May 23-25.
