MORAGA, Calif. -- After playing its first six dual matches away from home, the Saint Mary's women's tennis team made its long-awaited home debut a winning one Sunday with a 4-0 victory over Cal Poly.

The win was Saint Mary's third straight, upping the No. 40-ranked Gaels' overall record to 4-3.

On Sunday, Saint Mary's got started quickly with wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles to earn the first point of the match.

Catherine Isip and Elizabeth Searl teamed for a 8-1 win at the No. 2 spot, and Jade Frampton teamed with Audrey Leitz to win 8-1 at No. 3. 

Singles action saw Saint Mary's continue its roll. Isip defeated Jennifer Cornea 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and Leitz beat Haley Kepler 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6.

Catherine Leduc earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Anna Klavins at No. 5, and with the three points needed for a match win already in the bag, play at No. 1, 3 and 4 was halted with Gaels in the lead in each match.

Next up for Saint Mary's comes a thoroughly challenging pair of matches against Pac-12 opponents.

The Gaels travel to No. 5 Stanford on Saturday for a match scheduled to begin at noon. One week later, action returns to Korth Tennis Complex when SMC hosts No. 2 UCLA on Feb. 23 at noon.
