SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The Saint Mary's women's tennis team improved to 3-0 in West Coast Conference action with a convincing 6-1 win over host San Francisco on Sunday.

Saint Mary's (7-6 overall) got off to a good start by winning the doubles point. Jenny Jullien and Danielle Flores teamed at No. 1 to get a 8-4 win, but San Francisco (6-3, 0-2 WCC) took a win at No. 2 to even things up.

That left the doubles point in the hands of Saint Mary's nationally ranked duo of Catherine Isip and Elizabeth Searl. The No. 37 doubles team in the country was up to the task, winning 8-6 at No. 2 to give the Gaels the first point of the day.

Singles yielded even better results for Saint Mary's. Jade Frampton made it 2-0 SMC with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6. No. 1 singles player Jenny Jullien followed with a 6-2, 6-4 victory to make it 3-0.

Catherine Leduc clinched the win, defeating Brooke Irish 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4. San Francisco picked up its lone point at No.  5, then Isip and Flores finished off three-set victories to round out a successful day for the Gaels.

Saint Mary's will play its next four matches at home, starting with a 2 p.m. match against Tulsa on March 19.
