MORAGA, Calif. -- The Saint Mary's women's tennis team begins a four-match homestand this week as the No. 45-ranked Gaels welcome No. 24 Tulsa and No. 28 Oklahoma for non-conference matches.

The week gets started Tuesday as Tulsa visits for a noon match. Oklahoma comes in Friday in a match that will start at 2 p.m.

Saint Mary's (7-6) enjoyed a bit of a respite from match action last week. The Gaels' last match came March 10 in a 6-1 win at San Francisco.

Since then, Saint Mary's has climbed four spots in the ITA national rankings, moving up from its previous spot at No. 49.

And, No. 1 singles player Jenny Jullien continues to hold a lofty ranking, entering play this week ranked No. 18 in the nation. Jullien was also recently named West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Month for February.

The doubles team of Catherine Isip and Elizabeth Searl also remains ranked, with the Gaels' No. 2 pair entering the week at No. 75 in the nation.

In their last match, the Gaels cruised to a win over the Dons at Golden Gate Park. Wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles gave the first point to Saint Mary's, and a win by Catherine Leduc at No. 4 singles clinched the match victory.

Tulsa enters Monday's match at San Francisco with a record of 10-5, having last played on March 9 in a 4-1 win over North Texas.

Junior Samantha Vickers leads the Golden Hurricane lineup, entering play this week ranked No. 31 in singles. She will likely line up opposite Jullien on court one.

Tulsa also features a ranked doubles team, with the team of Vickers and Isaura Enrique checking in at No. 22.

Oklahoma is 8-5 overall entering its match against the Gaels. The Sooners have lost their last two, with defeats against Texas and Texas Tech representing their last results before coming to California.

Hermon Brhane leads Oklahoma at the top of the singles lineup, entering play this week ranked No. 106 in the country. The Sooners' top doubles team of Brhane and Whitney Ritchie is also ranked, entering this week's action at No. 14.

After this week's matches, Saint Mary's returns to WCC play with an 11 a.m. match against San Diego on March 26. The homestand wraps up on March 30 with an 11 a.m. match against BYU.
