STANFORD, Calif. -- After a disappointing finish earlier this week at the Oregon Duck Invitational, the Saint Mary's golf team will look to rebound quickly when it opens play tomorrow at the U.S Intercollegiate at Stanford Golf Course.
The Gaels join 16 other college programs in the 45th annual tournament at the 6,727-yard, par 70 Stanford Golf Course. In addition to Saint Mary's, the field includes: Colorado, Hawai'i-Hilo, Iowa, Lamar, Minnesota, Nevada, Northwestern, Oregon, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Stanford, TCU, USC and UC Davis
The 54-hole tournament consists of a single round in each of the next three days beginning at 8 a.m. (PT) each day with tee times off the first and 10th holes. Saint Mary's golfers begin at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.
The Gaels' lineup includes the same set of student-athletes who saw action in Oregon: Seniors Ben Geyer and Mac McClung, juniors Alex Bungert and Dalan Refioglu and sophomore Jonathan De Los Reyes.
