MORAGA, Calif. -- With rain in the forecast, the Saint Mary's women's tennis team decided not to wait for any possible weather with a quick 5-1 win over visiting BYU.
The win moves the No. 43-ranked Gaels to 10-7 overall and 5-0 in West Coast Conference play. BYU falls to 7-9 overall and 1-4 in conference.
Starting with singles due to the forecasted wet weather, Saint Mary's took advantage with strong play throughout the lineup.
Saint Mary's now hits the road for its final road match of the regular season. The Gaels will take on Santa Clara on Sunday at noon. They'll return to Korth Tennis Complex on April 12 to face Pepperdine.
