MORAGA, Calif. -- The Saint Mary's lacrosse team gets back into the heart of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation schedule this week when it hosts Stanford on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and travels to Oregon for a 1 p.m. game on Sunday.
Saint Mary's (3-6, 1-3 MPSF) continued its home winning streak when it beat Stetson 19-2 on March 29. The Gaels are a perfect 3-0 at home this season, a mark they will put on the line against Stanford.
With four goals and two assists against Stetson, attacker Jillian Chong moved into a tie with Amanda Cross for the team lead in points with 29. The native of Seattle, Wash. leads the Gaels in goals with 21.
Also moving up the points chart is Allie DeBruhl. The junior from Lake Oswego, Ore. scored four goals and added an assist against Stetson to push her season point total to 17.
Stanford enters the game with a 7-3 overall record and 2-1 mark in MPSF play. The Cardinal entered Friday's game against Denver ranked No. 10 in the country, but dropped a 14-10 decision to the Pioneers.
Leading the way this season for Stanford has been Moraga native Rachel Ozer. The Campolindo graduate has 40 points, including a team-high 28 goals. She's led a Cardinal offense that has outscored its opponents 139-107 this season.
Oregon enters the week at 5-7 overall and 0-3 in MPSF action. The Ducks will travel to Fresno State on Wednesday before hosting the Gaels this weekend.
In its last game, Oregon lost 14-10 to visiting Cal. In the defeat, freshman Carly O'Connell scored a team-high four goals, while junior Shannon Propst had four assists. Propst leads the Ducks with 41 points this season.
After the trip to Oregon, Saint Mary's will finish the regular season at home with games against Fresno State and Denver.
