SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- An award-filled season for Saint Mary's women's tennis player Jenny Jullien continued on Tuesday as she was named West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Month for the third consecutive month.
The native of Perpignan, France went 6-2 in March, ascending to a Saint Mary's-best No. 17 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings. Both losses came to players ranked in the top 100, and Jullien bolstered her record by earning wins over three ranked players.
Jullien also continued her strong play in WCC competition, winning all three of her conference matches in March in straight sets.
On the season, Jullien has eight wins over ranked opponents, including wins over two players ranked in the top 10. She is 5-1 in WCC play.
With a record of 14-5 this spring, Jullien will be on the court again this week as the Gaels wrap up their regular season with two tough conference matches. They'll host Pepperdine on Friday at 12:30 p.m., then Loyola Marymount visits on Sunday for an 11 a.m. match.
