MORAGA, Calif. -- Saint Mary's rower Maryann Concannon has been invited to participate in USRowing's Under 23 National Team camp in Princeton, N.J. that begins on June 5.
The camp will be used to determine the women's eight and quad teams that will compete at the 2013 World Rowing Under 23 Championships from July 24-28 in Linz, Austria.
USRowing will also use the camp to pick the women's pair, four and doubles that will compete at the Under 23 Trials from June 23-26 in West Windsor, N.J.
Concannon was one of only seven rowers from a West Coast college to make the initial list, and she was formally invited this week.
Before she heads to New Jersey, the preseason-All West Coast Conference selection continues her season in Moraga with the Gaels.
Saint Mary's will compete against UC Davis, Santa Clara and San Diego State this weekend in the NorCal/SoCal Showdown this weekend at Redwood Shores, Calif. The Gaels hit the water at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday and continue racing Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
