Johnson begins his second year as assistant coach in 2014.  Johnson attended Sonoma State from 2005-09 and earned numerous achievements including First Team NSCAA/adidas All-West Region, Daktronics Honorable Mention All-American and First-Team All-West Region. He is Sonoma State’s all-time shutouts leader, minutes played leader and ranks near the top in all-time goals against average at 0.82.

“He has trained with some of the best goal keeper coaches in the world,” said Edwards. “Franz Hoek, Dutch National team gk coach and former Ajax and Barcelona coach, has worked with him many times both in the USA and in Holland. Brook and I come from Sonoma State were we both worked for one of the best coaches in the country in Marcus Zeimer. We have the similar philosophies in how we want the game to be played and in particular what we want from the goal keeping position. We are very excited to add Brook and I have full trust in how he we develop our goalkeepers."
