MORAGA, Calif. -- Saint Mary's College will host the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit this weekend, as the road to the USTA/ITA National Summer Championships runs through Moraga from July 6-8.
The tournament, which will feature a 16-player singles draw and eight-team doubles draw for both men and women, is the first of four Northern California stops for the Summer Circuit.
Beginning in 1993, the ITA Summer Circuit has provided college and junior athletes (as well as alumni) an opportunity to compete in organized events year round. All current ITA members are eligible to play, and can register on the ITA's website (itatennis.com).
Northern California is one of nine regional circuits, with open tournament play culminating at the USTA/ITA National Summer Championships at Indiana University on August 10-13.
