MORAGA, Calif. -- Audrey Leitz won two more singles matches to provide the highlight for the Saint Mary's women's tennis team as the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational came to a close Sunday at Korth Tennis complex.

Leitz, who lost her opening round match on Friday, finished off an impressive comeback by claiming the ITA Red Division consolation final on Sunday. She started the day in the consolation semifinals, and defeated Cal's Kelly Chui 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the final.

She would return to the court later in the day to take on UC Davis' Megan Heneghan, and the senior from Nimes, France remained in good form. Leitz won 7-5, 6-3, finishing the tournament with four wins in a row.

Saint Mary's also had a chance at a consolation title in doubles, but the team of Jade Frampton and Danielle Flores fell 8-7 (3) to Stanford's Amelia Herring and Caroline Doyle. Flores won her lone singles match Sunday, defeating Cal's Cessi Estlander 6-0, 6-4 in round robin play.

The Gaels return to the court next weekend at Stanford when they take part in the ITA Northwest Regional. Play begins Saturday at Taube Family Tennis Center.
