SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Saint Mary's women's tennis players Jenny Jullien and Jade Frampton can add standout scholar-athlete to their list of plaudits as both were named to the All-West Coast Conference Academic team on Thursday.
Jullien, the two-time WCC Player of the Year, earned her second straight academic honor with Thursday's announcement. In her final year in Moraga, the native of Perpignan, France carried a 3.49 GPA in Business Administration.
Frampton earned the distinction for carrying a 3.54 GPA in English. She is also quite accomplished on the court, having earned All-WCC honorable mention in both singles and doubles. A tremendously creative person away from the court, Frampton's writing skills have been featured on SMCGaels.com and other media outlets.
Jullien's season continues on May 21 when she travels to Athens, Georgia to compete in the NCAA Singles Tournament hosted by the University of Georgia. It is her second straight trip to the season-ending tournament.
