STANFORD, Calif. — Perry Cohen delivered another solid round as Saint Mary’s golf climbed five more spots in the final round at The Goodwin to finish in 10th place in the 24-team field.

Cohen shot a 2-under 68 to finish at 4-over par and tied-13th. The junior out of San Diego got his round started with a bogey on the 12th, but rebounded nicely with an eagle on the par 4 13th. Cohen would then shoot two more birdies, and eight consecutive pars to finish with his 68.

Stanford, who hosted The Goodwin, claimed the team title with the 3-under par finish. The Cardinal finished nine strokes ahead of second place, USC. UNLV shot a final round 277 to close out in third place (+10). Defending NCAA champion Oregon finished in fourth with a 14-over total, and Washington rounded out the top-5 at 20-over par.

Next up for Saint Mary’s is the final tournament before the West Coast Conference Championships in Provo, Utah. The Gaels will get a nice tune-up for the WCC Championship by playing in the PING Cougar Classic from April 11-12. The classic will be played at Riverside CC, the site of the 2017 WCC Championship in three weeks time.

Connor Blick finished inside the top-50 after finishing tied-46th. Blick shot just 1-over in his front nine, but bogeyed five straight in the back nine to score a final round 75.

Junior Pavan Sagoo had a relatively steady round, shooting 74 on the day. Sagoo’s lone birdie on the day came on the par 5 7th hole.

Roman Aragon shot a final round 76. Aragon recorded birdies on holes 1, 14 and 16. Eduardo Carrete had his best round of the tournament, scoring an even-par 70. Carrete finished strong, notching birdies on each of his last three holes.

Rhett Rasmussen of BYU claimed Medalist Honors at The Goodwin with a 4-under finish. Rasmussen claimed the one stroke win over Franklin Huang of Stanford, and Harry Hall of UNLV.
