MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's men's and women's cross country and track programs' fifth-annual fundraising Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, with the event being hosted once again at the Soda Center on the beautiful campus of Saint Mary's College, with over $2,000 in prizes up for grabs.
Participants can buy-in ahead of time for $75 or $100 at the door. Spectator tickets are $40. Heavy appetizers, refreshments and complimentary beer and wine will be served. Players must be 21 years or older to participate.
The top-15 players will be aiming for the more-than $2,000 in prizes. There will also be a silent auction held for all who attend. Interested people can sign up to participate in the event by clicking here.
“It's pretty awesome thinking that we're heading into our fifth annual year of this event,” said Saint Mary's head coach Marty Kinsy. “Each year we have more participation, better prizes, better silent auction items, and I think it's because people are realizing how much fun this event is.
“For $75 you get so much by way of entertainment, food, drinks, card game, and just the social interaction with your fellow Gaels and cross country and track supporters. Looking forward to doing this for many more years to come!”
Saint Mary's kicks off its 2017 cross country season on Sept. 2 at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park for the USF Invitational.
