Career Highlights:  Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 240th pick in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB First Year Player Draf...drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 40th round (1,228 overall) of the 2011 MLB First Year Players draft...is second all-time with 290 career strike outs...tied for sixth all-time with 18 career victories...he is fifth all-time with 332.2 innings pitched...his 81 strike outs in 2010 ranks ninth most in a single season...his 15 starts in 2010 is tied for second most in a single season...his 14 starts in 2011 is tied for fifth most in a single season.

As a senior (2012):  Named to the Pre-season All-Conference Team as voted on by the West Coast Conference coaches...finished the year 2-9 with a 3.95 ERA...posted his second-straight season with a sub 4.00 ERA and over 80 innings pitched...his 8.54 K/9 ranked 129th in the country while his 80 strike outs ranks 116th in the nation...talllied seven starts with at least six strike outs on the year...struck out a season-high nine batters against BYU on 2/24...won his 17th career game against Southern Utah on 2/18...earned his first collegiate save on 3/1 vs. Oregon State...threw a season-high 8.0 innings pitched in the win over Santa Clara on 4/28...surpassed Tom Candiotti (1975-79) for second all-time when he recorded his 281st career-strike out in the bottom of the third inning against Portland on May 12, 2012.

Summer League (2011): Rated the seventh best prospect in the Far West League according to perfectgame.org...played for the Neptune Pearl in Alameda, Calif...helped the team finish second in the Southern Division of the Far West League.

As a junior (2011):  Was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team…went 6-5 with a 3.60 ERA in 105.0 innings pitched…finished second on the team with 78 strike outs which is ninth most in a single season…his 105 innings pitched is 11th most in a single season…started the year 0-3 before winning five-straight games from 3/27-5/01…threw a three hit complete game shutout against New Orleans on 3/27 it was his first complete game of his career…averaged 7.95 innings pitched per start in WCC play…went 4-2 with a 3.88 ERA in WCC action…in 55.2 innings pitched he struck out 45 batters which led the team…recorded road wins over USF, No. 24 Gonzaga and Pepperdine to secure series victories for the Gaels…threw his second career complete game with seven strike outs in the win over No. 24 Gonzaga on 4/23…struck out five or more batters in ever start against conference opponents…finished the year with a 2.16 k/bb ratio, 6.69 k/9 and 7.71 h/9 ratio. 

As a sophomore (2010): Was an Honorable Mention All-WCC selection after posting a 6-6 record with a 5.42 ERA in 18 appearances with 15 starts...during WCC play, he posted a 4-2 record with a 3.52 ERA in seven starts...averaged 9.7 strikeouts per nine innings pitched during WCC action and held WCC teams to a .243 batting average...led the team with 81 strikeouts in 89.2 innings pitched (second on the team)...had at least seven strikeouts in six games, including a season and career-high 10 strikeouts against Loyola Marymount on May 1...threw 8.0 innings, allowing one run on six hits in a no decisions against the Lions...threw 6.2 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits in a 12-4 over San Jose State in his first outing of the season...won three straight outings, from Apr. 7-11...pitched 4.1 innings out of the bullpen, allowing one run on four hits with four strike outs to earn the win over No. 22 Stanford on Apr. 7...retired the first 10 batters he faced in the game...threw 7.0 innings, allowing four runs on four hits with six strikeouts in a 5-4 SMC win over Portland on Apr. 11...allowed three hits and one unearned run in 7.2 innings in a 5-1 win over San Francisco, to improve to 4-3 on the year...allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in 5.0 innings to get the win in an 8-1 victory over No. 15 San Diego on May 29.

As a freshman (2009): Named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team…made 15 appearances with nine starts…made his Gaels debut on Feb. 25 in the 5-3 win over No. 14 Stanford, he went 5.0 innings pitched scattering three hits, no runs two walks and four strike outs…posted a 4-5 record with a 4.70 ERA, throwing 53.2 innings pitched, while striking out 51…on 3/5 went a season-high 6.0 innings pitched, scattering two hits and striking out a career-high eight batters in his second win over Stanford…in conference play posted a 1-3 record with a 3.96 ERA in seven appearances and three starts.

High School:  Came to Saint Mary’s by way of Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, CA, while at Wilcox he was a five-time letterman...three times for baseball and twice in football...in his senior season he was named First Team All-Central Coast Section, First Team All-Mercury, three-time First Team All-League, and finally De Anza League MVP...was also selected to the first team in football his senior season as well.
