Valenzuela, in his fourth year as a head coach – all spent with Saint Mary’s, moved into a tie for fth winningest coach in modern day history at SMC (since 1968) with the win. OFFENSE HAS BEEN OFFENSIVE
The Saint Mary's offense has been stagnant lately, dropping 13 points in its team batting average over the last three weeks. The Gaels have had only two double-digit hits game in its last 12 contests and have scored three or less runs in seven of those games. Both double-figure hits games came in non-conference Tuesday match-ups.
The Gaels begin a five-game road trip Tuesday with the conclusion their home-and-home non-conference series with San Jose State. They then travel to Gonzaga for a three-game WCC series beginning April 28.
