MSOC | Gaels Travel to Colorado for Two-Game Series

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — Saint Mary's will look to get back on track this weekend as they head to the Centennial State for a two-game road trip versus Air Force and Denver. The Gaels will take on Air Force on Friday at 5 p.m. PDT and Denver on Sunday at 6 p.m. PDT.

The Gaels (1-2-2) are in the midst of a tough four-game road swing that began with shutout losses to San Jose State and Cal Poly. Following the weekend series in Colorado, Saint Mary's will have played six of their seven contests this season on the road.

ABOUT AIR FORCE

The Falcons enter Friday's contest with a 4-1-0 record and a 1-0 victory over Army in their most recent match. Earlier in the season, Air Force took down then-No. 23 Florida Gulf Coast with a 3-2 decision.

Air Force boasts an strong defense with three clean sheets this season and have limited their opponents to just 38 shots, compared to 78 shots of their own. Juniors Klint Parker and Tucker Bone lead the team with two goals apiece.

Saint Mary's is 3-3 all-time versus the Falcons. The two teams met up last year as Air Force defeated the Gaels, 3-2.

ABOUT DENVER

The Pioneers are 3-3-0 to begin their 2017 campaign and are currently ranked as the ninth best team in the nation. DU posted wins over two impressive teams in Florida Gulf Coast and Akron earlier in the season, but are in the midst of a two-game losing streak.

Saint Mary's and Denver haven't matched up since 2003 in a 3-2 Gaels' win in Moraga. Saint Mary's owns the all-time record between the schools, 2-1.
