SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Saint Mary's defenders Bobby Conner and Forrest Solis were named to the 2013 West Coast Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, while Justin Howard and Jake Stenberg earned honorable mention honors.

A native of nearby San Rafael, Conner is a two-time honoree and is one of just three Saint Mary's players to have started every match this season.  He owns a 3.46 grade point average and is a junior business administration major.

Solis, a native of Oxnard, Calif., started each of the 12 matches in which he appeared and missed six competitions this season due to injury.  He is a sophomore kinesiology major with a 3.39 grade point average.

Howard and Stenberg have each played in all 18 of the Gaels' matches this season.  A senior from Livermore, Calif., Howard will graduate this spring with a degree in accounting and business administration.  Stenberg is a Huntington Beach, Calif. native and is a sophomore majoring in business administration.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
