Men's Soccer


AS A SENIOR (2016):  A preseason all-West Coast Conference selection by league coaches ... called one of the best defenders in the country by Top Drawer Soccer ... started in all 16 of his appearances for the Gaels … recorded three shutouts as a member of the backline … scored his lone goal of 2016 in the season opener against Cal … rattled off 14 shots with four of those coming on frame … tallied eight fouls on the season.

AS A JUNIOR (2015):  Started 13 of 15 appearances on the season ... started every conference game and helped the team compile a 5-2 record against WCC opposition ... earned first team all-West Coast Conference recognition for the second straight season ... scored the game-winning goal on a second half header in the season finale against Portland ... attempted 14 shots during the season with six on target ... earned Academic all-WCC honors. ... played entire match eight times during the season ... played every minute of the Gaels' seven league matches ... part of a defensive unit that registered five shutouts on the season and allowed just four goals in league play ... earned Bronze honors (g.p.a. of 3.00-3.49) on the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2014):  Appeared in and started 16 matches during the season ... selected first team all-WCC by league coaches ... scored twice during the season ... scored the game-winner on an 84th minute header in a 1-0 victory at Gonzaga ... named SMC Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week on Oct. 6 ... scored in the 3-1 win at Portland ... also distributed an assist to Will Kendall for the game-winner in a 2-0 win over Gonzaga ... attempted 12 shots, six of which were on target ... earned earned Bronze honors (g.p.a. of 3.50-3.74) on the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN (2013): One of just three players to start all 20 matches during the season (along with brother, Ben, and Bobby Conner) ... earned honorable mention all-West Coast Conference honors ... named to WCC All-Freshman team ... led the team in scoring with 11 points and goals with five ... took 19 shots during the season, nine on goal ... scored the game-winning goal in both matches against San Francisco ... played the second-most minutes on the team ... provided an assist in his first career match, the season-opening win over Air Force ... received just two yellow card cautions ...  all five goals came in conference play ... finished fourth in the league in goals scored in league games, and fifth in points ... earned Bronze honors (g.p.a. of 3.0-3.49) on the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll ... played PDL soccer in summer, 2014 for the Albuquerque Sol.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S:  A 2013 graduate of Niwot (Colo.) High School … lettered for prep varsity team as a freshman and sophomore … led team to prep state title as a freshman in 2009 … scored three goals as a freshman and five as a sophomore … club team in 2009 won state cup … played centerback for the Colorado Rapids Academy youth program for head coach Brian Crookham … selected to Rapids MLS adidas Generation Cup team in 2011 … Rapids finished sixth nationally in USSDA in 2012 … played with Rapids’ reserve team against the Chicago Fire reserves … twin brother, Ben, is also a member of the Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team ... father, Mark, lettered three seasons at defensive back and won two Big Ten titles under coach Bo Schembechler for Michigan from 77-79.
