MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s lacrosse team hosts Robert Morris on Friday, March 14th at 3:00 p.m. on the SMC campus.
The Gaels have shown no problems this year with scoring, totaling 30 goals in three games this season. The home game against the Colonials will be the fourth consecutive home game to begin the year. SMC will play the next three on the road, before returning to campus on April 4 and 6 against USC and Oregon.
Allie DeBruhl leads the Gaels with nine goals, coming on just 15 shots. Krista Morgan is next on the team with eight points with four goals and four assists. Jaclyn Biggers has scored six times, while Meagan Bennett has scored four times.
Rachel Minarovich has a team-high 16 draw controls and eight ground balls. In her career, Minarovich is up to 136, which is just shy of the SMC all-time record held by former Gael Colette Spencer with 141 from 2001-04.
Last week against the Aztecs, the Gaels scored the first three goals of the game in the opening minute, before SDSDU got things together and came back to defeat SMC.
Robert Morris enters the week 4-0 with wins over Niagara, Howard, Oregon and Detroit. The Colonials will face UC Davis at UCD on Wednesday night, before making the trip to Moraga on Friday.
