Connor Blick led Gaels with a 1-over 71 middle round. Blick recorded three birdies on the afternoon, two of which came on par-5’s. Perry Cohen and Roman Aragon followed close behind Blick, each with scores of 2-over 72.
Cohen’s round was highlighted by an eagle on the 7th hole while Aragon would’ve posted one of the best scores of the afternoon had it not been for a triple-bogey on the 13th hole. Aragon’s score improved by six strokes from the day before and represented the greatest improvement of any Gael.
No. 12 Stanford leads all teams with a combined score of 564 after two rounds of play while No. 1 USC trails by just one stroke heading into the final day. No. 15 UNLV, Washington, and No. 5 Oregon round out the top-5 team scores, respectively.
Individually, Rhett Rasmussen from BYU leads all golfers with a combined score of 4-under 136.
The third and final day of The Goodwin takes place tomorrow. Results and recaps can be found on SMCGaels.com following the conclusion of the tournament.
