MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team (2-0) will head back to the courts this week, as the team will compete against Holy Names on Tuesday and No. 72 Fresno State on Friday, Feb. 3 at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.

After a week of heavy rain and inclement weather, the Gaels and Hawks will face off in a clash of east bay programs. The day’s action is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Friday, SMC will face a tough test in hosting nationally ranked Fresno State (0-1). The Bulldogs have opened the dual season with a narrow loss to Sacramento State. Fresno State was scheduled to play UC Davis in the prior week, but weather also postponed the contest.

The Gaels have some familiarity with both programs as Holy Names and Fresno State competed in the shortened Saint Mary’s Invitational this past October.

SMC finished the invitational 3-1 versus opponents from HNU, and 0-1 versus the Bulldogs.
