STOCKTON, Calif. — In the season finale, Saint Mary’s men’s tennis dropped a tough West Coast Conference match at Pacific, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.
At the conclusion of the season, Saint Mary’s finishes with an overall record, 7-16. The Gaels finish 2-7 in WCC action. With the win, Pacific ends the season 11-14, and 4-5 in conference play.
The Tigers claimed the doubles win with victories on courts 1 and 2.
Newcomer Damon Kesaris was on his way to strong match, but the match went unfinished. Kesaris cruised to a 6-2 win in the first set before the match was called a no contest.
Nash Vollenweider dropped a tough battle on court 2 to end the season 8-14 in singles action during the dual season. Vollenweider fell 6-4, 6-4.
Junior Matthew Campana played as the No. 3 player for the Gaels and battled hard during the 6-4, 6-2 loss.
Jacob Lagman lost at the No. 6 spot as the Tigers claimed the 4-0 win.
Senior Manuel De Luis Lamelas played his final match for the Gaels as his match went unfinished on court 5. After winning the first set 6-4, Calvin Jordaan also went unfinished as he was in the middle of the third set.
