MORAGA, Calif. — After a week layoff, the Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team heads back to Timothy Korth Tennis Complex to host UC Davis on Sunday, March 12 at noon.

The Gaels (3-5) are coming off a 4-2 win versus San Jose State, where SMC clinched the team win with all victories coming in the singles action.

Senior Jana McCord took another step forward, now being ranked 114 in the country for singles players. McCord has been the top singles player for SMC the entire season thus far, and is now 3-5 in the dual season.

Clementine Clement continues to be a valuable player in the mid-to-upper part of the ladder, as the sophomore is currently on a three-match win streak for the Gaels. Clement is now 3-1 on court 3.

Senior Parminder Kaur is on the longest win streak for the Gaels with four straight victories. Kaur is proving to be a reliable force on court 6 for SMC, as she 4-1 in the dual season.

UC Davis (11-3) is currently riding a five-match win streak. The Aggies are coming off wins against Santa Clara, Pacific, Air Force, Montana and Cal Poly.

Before taking on the Gaels, UCD will head to Reno to take on Nevada on Friday.
