SAN BRUNO, Calif. — In another solid season, the Saint Mary's women's tennis team is well represented on this year's All-WCC teams as senior Jana McCord headlines the honorees with her All-WCC Second Team Singles award, the conference announced today.

McCord earns her second honor on the All-WCC Singles team after being named an honorable mention back in 2014-15. The senior was the top singles player all season long for the Gaels going 5-11 in the dual season.

Along with McCord, first year player Jacqueline Pelletier was named All-WCC Singles Honorable Mention. Pelletier impressed in her first season being used primarily as the No. 2 player for SMC. The freshman went 5-4 on court 2 and 3-2 in WCC matches.

A highlight win for the freshman came versus LMU, where the freshman defeated Elvira Juravliova, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.

In the doubles portion, Kareena Manji and McCord earned Second Team Doubles honors after being a successful duo for the Gaels. The tandem would finish the dual season an overall record, 10-4. Manji and McCord would go 4-1 in WCC matches and be an overall record of 7-4 on court 2.

Highlight victories for the duo came against Washington, Fresno State, San Diego State and Gonzaga.
