SAN FRANCISCO — Saint Mary’s women’s tennis (7-6, 2-1 WCC) bounced back in strong fashion, sweeping San Francisco for the 4-0 win Friday afternoon at the Olympic Club.

The Gaels got off the right foot, defeating the Dons (3-12, 0-3 WCC) in doubles action. Jana McCord and Kareena Manji collected their sixth win together on court 2, defeating Borjeson and Treyes of USF, 6-2.

Jacqueline Pelletier and Clementine Clement tag teamed for the clinch on court 3. The duo won in a one-sided match, 6-1 to give the Gaels the 1-0 advantage heading into singles.

The top two singles matches went unfinished, but SMC claimed three wins to run away with the conference win.

Danielle McIntyre delivered one of her most impressive performances to date, defeating her opponent, 6-0, 6-1 for the first singles match to conclude.

Manji continued her hot streak on court 4, recording her seventh singles win of the dual season. Clement sealed the deal for SMC, using precision and smart tennis to win her match.

The Gaels will be back on the courts tomorrow at Santa Clara. SMC will face the Broncos at 11 a.m. Live match results can be found here
