JOIN OUR TEAM - SMC Gaels Student Sports Marketing Positions
The Saint Mary's College athletic department has several student employment positions for SMC students interested in working in sports. Students can obtain resume-building experience in sports marketing, promotions, ticket sales and communications.
Students in these positions generally interact with fans and the public and must display professionalism, friendliness and have an enthusiastic attitude for promoting SMC Gaels athletic events.
Marketing/Promotion interns will gain valuable hands on experience in sports marketing and fan development and will learn the behind-the-scenes of a collegiate athletic event. Students work extensively to promote SMC ticketed sports through with an outcome to improve attendance and gameday fan experience, as well as to generate revenue through ticket sales.
- Full-time student at Saint Mary's College
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and school breaks
- Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Career interest in sports marketing, communications or business preferred
An Athletic Game Day Public Address Announcer is responsible for announcing at home athletic events. The PA Announcer is the voice of Saint Mary's Athletics. Game Day Audio DJ
An Athletic Game Day Audio DJ is responsible for creating a fun and energetic atmosphere by playing music on game day. The Game Day Audio Dj will work closely with the SMC athletics marketing staff to create music playlists for before, during and after events. Mascot responsibilities are to perform as the “Gael” during athletic and community events. Primary duties are to be friendly and outgoing, create and perform game entertainment while effectively communicating through body gestures. SMC students Click Here to apply!
Game Day Promotions Assistant
An Athletic Game Day Promotions Assistant is responsible for implementing and executing athletic promotions at Athletic home events.. A Promotions Assistant duties are to enhance the game day experience for fans, manage lobby promotional table, work with Gael Force Exec to execute student promotions and events and any other promotional duties assigned. Ticket Office Representative
Student staff member responsibilities in the SMC Athletic Ticket Office include: selling tickets to the general public during athletic events, distribution of pass lists from players and coaches, hosting and greeting at main entrances, and any other duties assigned by the Director of Ticket Operations during SMC home athletic events.
