The Saint Mary's baseball team swept a doubleheader from Xavier in its 2018 home debut, beating the Musketeers 1-0 & 7-5

AS A JUNIOR (2017): Provided power in the lineup for the Gaels with nine home runs and a slugging percentage of .400 … Had a season-high hitting streak of 10 games from April 18-May 5 where he recorded four multi-hit games … Was an iron man behind the plate by starting 56 games and throwing out 13 base runners on attempted steals … Finished second on team by reaching base safely in 21 straight games and held a .336 on-base percentage … Named WCC Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 20-26 thanks to a slugging percentage of 1.059 in a four-game series against top-25-ranked Washington with five extra-base hits and two home runs.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Made 44 appearances and 35 starts as a first basemen for SMC as a sophomore … With 128 at bats, racked up 33 hits, 24 RBIs and three homeruns … Recorded his first home run of the season against Central Michigan on Feb. 26 and hit another one out of the park during a West Coast Conference Tournament win against Gonzaga on May 28 … Finished the year with five doubles and nine walks … Racked up 282 putouts with only five errors leading to a .983 fielding percentage … Recorded an on base percentage of .314 and a slugging percentage of .367.

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Not only saw plenty of time behind the plate in his first collegiate season but also established himself as one of the Gaels' best clutch hitters as only a freshman ... Hit .313 in 34 games played (20 starts) and had 25 hits, eight runs, 15 RBI, six doubles, one home run and a .425 slugging percentage ... Hit .318 in 17 West Coast Conference games ... Had eight multi-hit games including a three-hit game against San Diego on April 24/25 in which he entered as a pinch-hitter ... Hit a key three-run home run in win over Pacific on March 14, driving one off the left field foul pole to put SMC in the lead late ... Threw out potential base stealers at a tremendous rate, allowing just seven steals in 18 attempts ... Despite being a left-handed hitter himself, did very well against left-handed pitchers with five hits in 13 at-bats (.385).

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: San Jose, Calif. native starred at Bellarmine College Prep ... Lettered three times for the Bells, earning second team All-West Catholic Athletic League honors as a senior for his work at catcher ... Also earned the 2014 Billy Schmidt Award for positive attitude ... Also earned All-WCAL honors in 2013 (honorable mention as a DH) and 2012 (second team catcher) and finished his high school career with a .290 batting average, three home runs and 47 RBI ... Plans to study Kinesiology at Saint Mary's.
