AS A FRESHMAN (2017): Named to West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team … Played a vital role in relief for the Gaels with 22 appearances and 45 innings pitched … Posted a team-best 1.23 ERA in conference games and held WCC batters to just a .189 batting average … Finished second on team in both ERA (2.00) and saves (3) … Recorded two consecutive saves against conference rival Gonzaga on April 28 and 30 while tossing a total of 4 1/3 innings ... Came on in relief and had a season-high nine strikeouts while only allowing two hits through five innings at San Francisco in 2-1 14-inning victory on April 8 … Recorded first win of collegiate career against Grand Canyon on March 3 in 12-11 victory … Shut down Pepperdine in two appearances on May 12 and 14 by throwing a total of 8 2/3 innings, allowing no earned runs with one save recorded (May 12) … Went 13 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run from May 6-19.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY’S: Dominant lefty on the mound for University City High School in San Diego, graduating in 2016 … Was a three-time letterwinner for the Centurions, posting a sub-2.00 career ERA (1.77) with 129 total strikeouts and a better-than 2-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio in three varsity seasons … Named first team all-Western League as a junior in 2015 after an impressive season on the mound, posting a miniscule 1.22 ERA in 11 starts (13 appearances) with two complete games and 79 strikeouts … That powerful junior campaign helped carry UCHS into the California Interscholastic Federation San Diego Section Division II semifinals … Followed that up with a strong senior season in 2016, notching three complete games with a 2.23 ERA and 45 strikeouts against just 19 walks … Named a 2016 California all-Region Honorable Mention by Perfect Game.
