Dominic Drury enters his fourth overall season with the Saint Mary’s men’s basketball program, and second season as the head student manager.

Drury joined the Gaels staff in August 2014 after attending Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, where he assisted in basketball operations for the boy’s and girl’s programs. During his four years at Bishop O’Dowd, the two programs combined for seven league championships, six North Coast Sections Championships, six CIF Northern California Championships, and two CIF State Championships. In 2014, Drury received the Dragon Pride award given to one student who showed most devotion and represents Bishop O’Dowd Athletics.

At Saint Mary’s, Drury oversees four other managers and helps facilitate day-to-day team operations for practice, games, travel and locker room management. Drury also assists with the Gaels’ Video Coordinator Dominic Lippi to ensure proper breakdown of all practices and games. Outside of these duties, you will also find Drury helping the program with the practice clock, player statistical analysis, communicating with visiting teams, pre and post game meals, social media pages, and office management. After Drury’s junior season, he was awarded Saint Mary’s College Athletic Department volunteer of the year award.

A native of Hayward, California, Drury is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (Sports and Recreation Management) and is expected to graduate in May 2018.
