Dominic Lippi enters his third season with the Saint Mary’s Men’s Basketball program and his first as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations/Video Coordinator. After spending the last two seasons as a Graduate Assistant with the Gaels, he was a part of two historic seasons that combined for 58 wins and 11 losses, a WCC regular season championship in 2016 and a Second Round NCAA Tournament appearance in 2017. Lippi also received his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Saint Mary’s College in the summer of 2017.

Prior to joining the Saint Mary’s men’s basketball staff, Lippi was a student-athlete at Division III Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. At Whitman, Lippi was the winningest three- year player in the school’s history. During his senior year in 2014-15, he led Whitman to a program best 14-2 Northwest Conference record and an overall record of 20-6, the program’s best overall record in 29 seasons. He spent one year as a walk-on for the UC Davis Men’s basketball team during the 2011-12 season before transferring to Whitman College.

In high school at St. Joseph Notre Dame, Lippi played for his father, Don Lippi, who is one of the most accomplished high school basketball coaches in California state history with over 800 wins. In Lippi’s senior year (2011), his team finished 27-9 and won the California Division V state title.
