3 Quick Bites
Saint Mary’s has won a program record 16 games in a row after defeating Portland Saturday night, 72-55.

The Gaels have won 14 consecutive conference games, tied-3rd most in the country with A-10 Rhode Island (Vermont leads with 28 in AEC, Louisiana in second with 15 in the SBC.)

Saint Mary’s has won 23 of the past 24 meetings against San Francisco. No. 13 ranking in AP Poll is second best ever in program history (No. 12, 11/26-12/5/2016).

National Attention for Jock Landale
14 double-doubles on the season, 12 in the past 15 games, Jock Landale continues to lead the efficient Gaels offense. His 22.1 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 65.7 percent field-goal percentage and 14 double-doubles are all tops in the WCC.

His career 62.7 percent shooting would be first in the Gaels’ record for career field-goal percentage. Landale now ranks 9th in all-time scoring at 1,406 career points. Jock was named on the Wooden, Oscar Robertson, Lou Henson and Lute Olson Midseason Watch List.

16 Going on 17?
Saint Mary’s now owns a 16-game win streak. The 16-game win streak is the longest under Randy Bennett and in school history (15 in a row was previous record during 2008-09).

Hard to Beat Gaels in Moraga
Saint Mary’s has won 15 consecutive home games, tied for the third longest streak in program history. The Gaels won 19 in a row from 2010 to 2011.
