MBK | Landale, Naar Begin NBA Summer League

July 2, 2018

MORAGA, Calif. — Following outstanding careers at Saint Mary’s, All-American center Jock Landale, and the NCAA’s assist leader this past year Emmett Naar, begin the next chapter in the basketball life this week at the NBA Summer League.

Landale joined the Atlanta Hawks team last week and Naar signed on to play with the Phoenix Suns team a couple days later.

Atlanta kicks off its summer league tonight in Utah, playing three games before headed to Las Vegas for the full NBA summer league, which kicks off Friday, July 6. Naar and the Suns will head straight to Vegas for their summer league action beginning Friday.

Last summer, senior guard Joe Rahon played on the Golden State Warriors summer league team and made appearances in four games.

The 14th NBA Summer League will take place July 6-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

For the first time, all 30 NBA teams will be playing in Las Vegas, and the league will expand to 12 days and 82 games as part of the usual tournament-style schedule. Teams will compete in three preliminary games before being seeded in a tournament that culminates with the Championship Game on July 17. Each team will play at least five games and as many as eight.

All games will be televised by either the ESPN networks or NBA TV. Fans can get more information at
