Hot Shooting Powers Gaels Past Seattle
Saint Mary's won its third consecutive game with a 24-point win over Seattle (6-5) last Saturday night. The score margin was the largest of the season for the Gaels, as SMC shot 58.6 percent from the floor and 54.2 percent from beyond the arc. The Gaels forced 13 Redhawks turnovers, and assisted on 25 out of 34 field-goals. The Gaels outscored Seattle 19-6 in points off turnovers.

Jock Named Top Mid-Major Player
Currently averaging 21.3 points per game, 9.4 rebounds and 65.2 percent field-goal percentage, Landale continues to lead the Gaels on their current three-game win streak. The senior has back to back double-doubles, and on a video feature by the NCAA, was named the No. 1 Mid-Major player in the country.

Spending the Holidays Home
SMC is playing its third consecutive home, and is in the middle of a six game home stand. Games remaining on the home stand: Dec. 19 vs Dayton, Dec. 22 vs UNC Asheville and Dec. 28 vs Loyola Marymount). Next road game will be at BYU on Dec. 30 which will be aired on ESPNU at 1 p.m. PST.

Winter White Out Versus Dayton
On Dec. 19, SMC will host mid-major powerhouse Dayton in now a televised contest on NBC Sports Bay Area. The game will feature a white out, with white t-shirts handed to the fans.

Impressive Streaks
Dating back to 2016-17, the Gaels are an impressive 32-1 in games when leading at halftime. SMC is also 32-0 when shooting a better three point FG percentage than its opponents and 30-1 when outrebounding the opposition.

Gaels Look to Keep Win Streak
SMC is on a three-game win streak, and have also won the last three meetings versus the Anteaters. Playing against each other in every season since 2014, SMC defeated UCI, 84-53 in 2016 at McKeon Pavilion.

Ford & Krebs Set Career-Highs
Flashing his offensive abilities, Jordan Ford led the Gaels backcourt versus Seattle with a career-high 19 points. The second year guard shot 8-of-14 FG, and has made a three-pointer in nine out of 10 games so far this season.

Tanner Krebs continues to give the Gaels rebounding and defense, but the athletic Aussie also contributed with a career-high 23 points versus the Redhawks to lead all scorers.

Gaels Receiving Votes
Despite being outside the top-25 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Polls, Saint Mary's is still receiving votes in the coaches poll. This past Monday, the Gaels received four votes in the coaches poll.

Naar Continues to Strong Play
Emmett Naar is 2nd in the program's all-time list for assists (623). The senior tied his career-high 12 Saturday night. Naar is first in the WCC and second in the country in assists per game (9.1). The senior has recorded at least seven assists in eight consecutive games.

He currently leads the WCC with 37.7 minutes player per game (4th in NCAA). Naar has scored in double figures in seven out of the 10 games. The senior is first in assist-turnover ratio at 4.3 (9th in NCAA). Naar has at least seven assists in nine out of 10 games this season.

Watching the Record Book
With now 1,127 points, Naar needs just one point to move into 23rd in all-time scoring. With 91 assists through 10 games, Naar will need 157 more assists this season to surpass Dellavedova on all-time assists.

Calvin Hermanson has the third most three-pointers in program history with 198. Hermanson will become just the third Gael to have at least 200 three-pointers made in his career.

Landale needs just 68 made field goals to tie for 10th in program history for field-goals made (505). He also needs 136 more rebounds to have 10th most rebounds in program history.

About the Anteaters
UC Irvine (4-8) is currently on a three-game losing streak. Evan Leonard is the lone Anteater averaging double-digit scoring at 10.6 ppg. UCI currently averages 42.8 rebounds per game. The Anteaters are averaging 72.7 ppg.

UCI has hauled in 514 rebounds this season, second in the country behind Duke (545). It also stands eighth nationally with 42.8 rebounds per game, 14.2 of them from the offensive end.

Through 12 games, UCI has used eight different starting lineups and has had nine or more scorers in 10 games, but have seen zero players put up a 20-point performance with a high of 19 from Rutherford and Leonard.
