MBK | Landale Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- For the second time in two weeks, senior center Jock Landale has been named West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading Saint Mary's to a pair of impressive wins during the final week of non-conference action.

Landale led Saint Mary's to a 2-0 week and an 11-2 slate entering West Coast Conference action. The All-American continued to dominate for the Gaels as he averaged 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds on 72.7 percent (16-22) from the floor in this week's two wins.

In a 15-point victory against Dayton, the All-American recorded 12 points and 10 boards in the second half alone, and finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots in 32 minutes.

Landale added 23 points, 10 rebounds and a pair of assists in 25 minutes to wrap the non-conference portion of the schedule against UNC Asheville. His double-double against the Bulldogs was his fifth straight double-double night of the season. Landale leads the WCC in double-doubles and is currently tied-14th in the country.
