KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- On the final day of the NCAA Regionals, Saint Mary's golf put forth its best round of the tournament, shooting a final round 6-under 282 to finish in 11th at the Reunion Resort - Watson Course, Wednesday afternoon.


No. 8 Florida claimed the top spot on the leaderboard at 42-under par, as the Gators finished with a 17-under final round. Central Florida will also advance to the NCAA Championships after finishing in second place at 30-under par for the tournament.

No. 5 Vanderbilt (-22), No. 17 North Carolina (-21) and No. 29 Kent State (-20) will also move on to the championships after finishing in the top-5 of the leaderboard.

Arizona's George Cunningham advances to the NCAA Championships as the low individual after finishing at 9-under par for the tournament.

  • Perry Cohen was the top finisher for the Gaels as the senior finished tied-14th in the field. Cohen shot a 4-under 68 that included just a single bogey on the round. Cohen carded an eagle on the 14th, and made birdie putts on holes 8, 9 and 17. 
  • Senior Pavan Sagoo wrapped his career as a Gael with a 1-under 71 that included eagles on holes 8 and 14. Sagoo also carded birdies on holes 2 and 16, and finished the regional at even-par.
  • Fellow senior Connor Blick shot 4-over for the tournament and made three birdies in his final round of collegiate golf for the Gaels.
  • Blake Hathcoat displayed a solid round, as the second year player shot a 3-under 69. Hathcoat made an impressive eagle on hole 1, and converted birdies on holes 6, 12, 14 and 15. 
  • In his second straight round at the NCAA Regional, Mikey Slesinski grinded through a 4-over 76. The redshirt freshman made four birdies in the final round. 


  • The NCAA Championship will be held from May 25-30 at Stillwater, Okla. 30 teams and six individuals not on those teams will advance to the championships. 
  • The Gaels have made the NCAA regionals the last four years.
  • SMC led the 14-team field in total eagles made with six. 
  • Cohen ranked tied for third in the field for par 5 scoring (-9).
  • Sagoo and Slesinski each had two eagles during the regional, the most of any players in the field.
