GOLF | Blick Leads Gaels on Day 2 of Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. -- Saint Mary's held their position on Friday at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, finishing Day 2 where they started at tied for eighth place. The 20-team tournament concludes tomorrow with the third and final round.

No. 22 Santa Clara remains on top of the leaderboard with a solid five-under par showing to move to 14-under for the tournament. No. 29 BYU sits close behind at 11-under as well as Nevada, who had the best round of the day at 6-under.

Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, and South Dakota round out the remaining top-5.

The Gaels shot an even score on Friday to remain at 1-under through two rounds. They sit tied with the host school Pacific who scored at even-par on the day.

Alex Lee of Fresno State now leads the individual leaderboard at 9-under after firing off a 5-under round which was tied for the best of the Day 2 performers. Filip Lundell of Grand Canyon follows just a stroke behind in second place and four other players are tied for third at 6-under.
