Clauss Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week
Clauss scored the game-winner in the conference opener at Gonzaga.
MORAGA, Calif. — After scoring his first career goal for to help lift Saint Mary’s to the conference opening victory at Gonzaga, senior defender Tobias Clauss has been named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 2-8.
Scoreless through 55 minutes, Clauss struck the game-winner off a corner kick to bring the Zags on their home turf.
Clauss continues to be a mainstay in the backline, as the 6-2 senior is one of four players who has started all 11 games thus far in 2017. Clauss is second on the team in minutes played (1,029) and has committed just three fouls.
Saint Mary’s (4-4-3, 1-0 WCC) will continue conference play at Santa Clara this Friday night, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. Season, single match and group tickets to attend Saint Mary's men's soccer matches are open for purchase.
