SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- After much traveling this season, Saint Mary's will play their remaining schedule in the Bay Area, beginning with Santa Clara on Friday. The match against the Broncos will be the Gaels' penultimate away game of the year, with only one more match on the road at San Francisco on Oct. 23. The remaining four conference matches will be played at Saint Mary's Stadium in Moraga.

Live stats and stream for the game can be found on the Gaels' schedule page. The contest will kick-off at 7 p.m.

Saint Mary's (4-4-3, 1-0 WCC) will look to continue their strong play they've exhibited over the past two weeks. The Gaels are 3-1-1 in their last five matches and are coming off a 1-0 win over Gonzaga in Spokane. A win on Friday would mark the first time since 2006 that the Gaels have started conference play 2-0.

ABOUT SANTA CLARA
The Broncos are off to a tough start this season, losing their first nine matches before defeating San Francisco on Sunday 3-1 to begin conference play. Last year when Santa Clara and Saint Mary's met, the Gaels came out on top 1-0 thanks to Jake Rudel's 68th minute goal.

Senior forward Carlos Delgadillo leads SCU in goals this season with four while fellow seniors Valdemar Andersen and Satoshi Chaffin are close behind with three each. The Broncos have utilized four goaltenders this year but redshirt freshman Henning Jolivet leads the team with five starts in net. Jolivet has made 23 saves in six total appearances.

As a team, Santa Clara has fared well on offense with 14 goals in their 10 matches and are averaging nearly 12 shots per contest. Defense is a different story for the Broncos as they've surrendered 30 goals to their opponents and have allowed 3+ goals six times.

QUICK FACTS

  • Tobias Clauss scored his first career goal for the Gaels on Sunday versus Gonzaga.
