SAN FRANCISCO — Saint Mary’s will play their third conference match of 2017 on Saturday as they take on the Dons on the road. The match represents the final away game of the year for the Gaels as they’ll play their remaining four games in Moraga.

Saint Mary’s enters the weekend with a 4-5-3 record and are 1-1 in conference play. SMC has played just three games in the past three weeks and most recently fell to Santa Clara last Saturday in a 4-2 decision.

Anders Engebretsen and Tobias Clauss both scored in the loss as part of the Gaels’ 17 shot effort. Saint Mary’s has outshot their opposition 158-112 this season and have scored at least one goal in their past six contests.

Live stream and live stats for the game can be found on the Gaels’ schedule page.

ABOUT SAN FRANCISCO
The Dons currently own a 3-8 record and are 0-1 in WCC action. The team hasn’t played since Oct. 8 as last week’s match versus Pacific was cancelled due to poor air quality from the Napa wildfires.

USF’s offense is paced by junior Sean Bowman who leads the team with five goals. Leon Schwarzer has notched five assists as part of his team-leading 15 points while three other Dons have scored multiple goals this year.

Despite nearly matching their opponents in shots, USF has been outscored 27-18. The team has allowed 2.68 goals against this season while averaging 1.79 goals on offense.
