Shannon Donegan enters her second season as Director of Women’s Basketball Operations for Saint Mary’s in the 2016-17 season. Her duties include video coordination as well as social media, details of team management, travel and logistics for SMC road trips, and scheduling the use of facilities for practices both at home and away.

Donegan attended Albright College in Reading, Penn., a Division III institution, from 2004-2006, where she appeared in 22 games over two seasons as a member of the Lions’ women’s basketball team. Donegan later attended Temple University in Philadelphia from 2009-12, where sher received her B.S. in Athletic Training. While attending Temple she had the opportunity to assist with the 2012 NCAA Women's Final Four as an ATS (athletic training student) and coached high school girls basketball at Germantown Friends School (GFS) from 2010-12, also located in Philadelphia. She served as an assistant coach at GFS for two seasons, collaborating with the head coach in scouting, reporting, cultivating talent, and developing and implemented successful game plans, which led the team to an improved record and an 11-6 league finish.

Donegan moved to the Bay Area in 2013 where she received a M.A. in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. While attending USF, she served as the Women's Basketball Video Coordinator at Saint Mary's. She worked with the coaching staff to organize day to day operations of a successful Division I Women’s Basketball program, participated in off-season skill development training sessions, coached during summer camps and coordinated the video of all team practices as well as home and away games and edited video developed in-house, as well as video developed by opponent programs; for the purpose of self-scouting and opponent game preparation.

Donegan currently reside in Lafayette, Calif., with her eight-year-old Puggle, Buddha.
