SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Five Saint Mary's women's basketball players were honored Tuesday on the 2018 all-West Coast Conference teams, including senior guard Stella Beck, who was named to her second consecutive first team and junior forward Megan McKay, who landed the first first-team honor of her career.

Joining Beck and McKay with all-WCC honors was Sydney Raggio (second team), Jasmine Forcadilla (honorable mention) and Madeline Holland (all-freshmen). Beck and McKay mark the 12th straight year that Saint Mary's has had a player on the all-WCC first team, and the first time since 2013-14 with multiple first teamers (Danielle Mauldin, Jackie Nared). It is the fifth time in head coach Paul Thomas' 12-year tenure at SMC the Gaels have had multiple first team honorees.

Beck's second all-WCC first team honor came on the heels of a conference campaign in which she averaged 16.1 points and shot 61.3 percent in 18 WCC games, as well as 6.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. For the year she is averaging 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and shooting 60.2 percent from the field. She closed the regular season with four straight 20-point performances and had seven total in conference play, including a career-high 31 versus Pacific on Jan. 20.

McKay was the conference's best shooter once again, making 62.9 percent of her shots in conference play and 60.9 percent throughout the regular season. She averaged 15.9 ppg against conference opponents, including four 20-point performances. McKay tallied four double-doubles in a five-game stretch from Feb. 3-17. For the year, she is averaging a team-best 15.4 ppg and is second on the team with 7.2 rebounds per game.

The redshirt sophomore guard Forcadilla started all 29 of the Gaels' games in her first year as a full-time starter. Running the point, she issued a team-high 101 assists (3.5 per game) while averaging 7.1 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest.

Holland's selection to the 2018 WCC all-freshmen team marks the fourth straight year and seventh in the last nine that SMC has had an all-freshmen honoree. Holland led the conference in 3-point shooting with a 44.8 percent success rate on the year. She was also among the conference's top-10 all season in assists-to-turnovers ratio, ending the regular season with a 1.77 mark (sixth in WCC).

Gonzaga junior forward Jill Barta was named the WCC Player of the Year and her head coach Lisa Fortier was selected as the Coach of the Year for the third time in four seasons to cap a record-breaking season for the Bulldogs. BYU freshman Sara Hamson earned Defensive Player of the Year accolades and Loyola Marymount junior Gabby Green was tabbed the Newcomer of the Year.

Saint Mary's begins play in the 2018 WCC Championship Tournament on Friday as the No. 2 seed, facing the winner of the No. 7 Pacific vs. No. 10 Portland game in the quarterfinals at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. All tournament games will be broadcast live on BYUtv, with the championship game being televised on ESPNU. Fans can find live coverage links for all games on
